Survival Outdoors welcomes you to our Bushcraft School
We have our own premises in which you will meet on the morning of your course and here you will start your bushcraftcourse from. You will be given a light lunch before setting off to our own privately owned woods, And this is where you will continue your bushcraft course from, You do not require tents as you will make your own shelter to stay in, and all food will be supplied, you will only have to prepare and cook it, you will be shown different techniques of how to do this,
We take great pride in the fact that when someone takes a course with us they leave us with a great deal of new knowledge,
Unlike a lot of Bushcraft Survival Schools we do not claim to be the best or the biggest, we here at Survival Outdoors leave that to you as a person to decide for yourself what you think of our Bushcraft School and our teaching methods, We run on a full time basis all year round, All we can say is that we have for many years been providing survival and bushcraft courses to a list of clients including MOD, Police, Fire Service,Mountain Rescue, RAF, Private Groups and Corporate Events, and have numerous returning clients year after year, We have done numerous TV programmesand Radio, And now our bushcraft courses are offered to individual members of the Public, Which has become very very popular,
Our teaching methods are not the mind bashing text book style that applies in schools, we run our outdoor survival courses on a very informal and a relaxed basis, It is a proven fact that if you are enjoying yourself you will learn and keep the knowledge you are taught in your head,
We also do not have a hard and fast itineray that has to be followed on our weekends, All we do is guarantee that all the content listed for a course will be covered while you are with us, You will learn the art to surviving and improvising in a natural setting and in an informal relaxed way,
Our courses are designed for you to have a hand on experience, so even though our Instructors go through demonstrations, (that is for everyones benefit to see the proper way of doing so) you will be doing so as well,
We do not supply ration packs for your food, you will experience how to handle, prepare, cook and eat what nature provides, You will be shown how to trap and snare but for humane reasons all our wild nature (meats and poultry) are supplied by our local gamedealers, everything else is from natures larder, We also cater for different diets, so please let us know if you are vegetarioan, vegan, or have a special dietary requirement, and we will work with you for a suitable diet,
No it is not compulsory to handle animals or eat them, we do make provisions for vegetarians, we do not expect any one to do something they are not happy with,
From the moment you book with us we keep in contact, And we are always at the end of a phone if you need any questions answered,
We have a FREE Pick Up Service from our local Train Station/Airport,
This way you do not have to worry about getting to our premises in the morning, And at the end of your course we will take you back again to local Train Station or Airport,
Our local Airport is Preswick International (PIK)www.gpia.co.uk
And our local Train Station is Ayr Central,
